Okay, unusual title.  This workshop is about knowing where

you are in relation to the rhythmic pulse that is our measure

when we play in measured time.  When you know where you

are you know where you are in relationship to chord changes

and lyrics.  And you are ready to phrase for a solo line or

provide a little improvisatory rhythm statement.  In other words

you are not lost.  How to achieve a good sense of time is the

subject and I’m sorry I don’t know all the answers.  Let’s

explore!
